Here’s the deal.

I know there’s at least 1,001 photographers that you can work with but you’re here and for that, i want to thank you first and foremost.

here’s my story.

When I was 14, my parents gave me a camera for Christmas and I immediately put it to work. I started taking photos of my dad making us breakfast and of my mom gathering up wrapping paper. I caught our dog napping in warmth of the afternoon and my sister as she waved us goodbye through the garage. I was in love with the how simple it was to catch time and document the slow in between moments of the day. I somehow knew that these moments would be significant to me as I grew older, that I’d want to remember my childhood this way.

As I grew up, I always had my camera within arms reach. I studied Sociology (because what else do photographers-in-the-making study?!) at UCSB but started taking photos for friends and family in the meanwhile. I tried my luck with marketing, and even started my own t-shirt company but I found that photography continued to quietly knock on my heart. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Other fun tidbits about me:

  • I live in Seattle but was born and raised in CA so you’ll find me back in Golden state quite a bit.

  • Breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day. Eggs, toast and coffee are life.

  • I have a 16 month old daughter who is sweet, sassy and everything I ever dreamed of in a babe.

  • If I could live in WhoVille, I would.

  • When I was in high school, I had a crush on a boy named Taylor. He passed me notes with drawings on them and I burned him a Hot Hot Heat cd. We lost touch until about 4 years ago when the stars aligned and we ran into each other at a bar in Seattle and fell in love. He’s the best person I know and an amazing father to our baby girl.

  • I’m Iranian and can get down with some rice. Like, I can and will eat 4 cups a day, easy.

  • On any given day, you can find me listening to The Cranberries to *Nsync to The Smiths to Drake to Beach House.

  • Family means everything to me, which is why I feel so lucky to be able to capture memories and preserve this time through my lens!

It’s incredibly wonderful to meet you!
