Costa Mesa Brand Session | Diana

Diana and I had so much fun shooting around SOCO & The OC Mix! Knowing we wanted a variety of different options, we got lots of great shots that she was able to share all over her website. The takeaway - a little planning, a few styling tips and a neutral, airy space can go a long way.

Diana Fitzgibbon is a creative consultant and copywriter based in Los Angeles, CA. She works within a variety of industries that range from fine art galleries to creative agencies and start ups.

We met up at the SOCO & The OC Mix in Costa Mesa to create some content for her website. We got coffee at Portola Coffee first then walked around to find some great spots to shoot.

Diana writes well AND models well. She put a lot of thought into her outfits, which made the photoshoot easy breezy. She had a base outfit and then switched out outerwear. With just a little bit of styling, we had ourselves a ton of looks to play with.

If you are looking to get the most out of your time, a versatile outfit will help! Diana brought a handful of different coats/outer layers with her for this shoot and my only concern was that we wouldn't get the chance to photograph everything she had with her. Yet, the truth is by having a base outfit, she was able to swap out her different outerwear and style her hair slightly different so that we could garner the most out of our time together and have several distinct looks. I think this is a great practice to have in mind next time you're planning a shoot.

I also want to highlight that SOCO & The OC Mix was the perfect location for our photoshoot because it gave us natural lighting, neutral tones, textured walls and open air seating - it really checked off all the boxes. It's also central to LA and OC so it makes for a great halfway point.

If you're looking to do a personal or business photoshoot in Orange County or Los Angeles and want a great location, SOCO & The OC Mix should be at the top of your list. There are plenty of places in Southern California that you can use as a backdrop but SOCO & The OC Mix has one of those neutral tones that can work with any aesthetic. I really love how these photos turned out!

All in all, I had so much fun working with Diana and I'm excited to keep working with her throughout her freelance journey. To get in touch with Diana and see how all these photos perfectly fit into her website, click here.
