Little River was about 8 months in these photos, and I personally think this is the perfect age for babies to get photographed. There’s never a bad age, because all the chapters are racing at the speed of light. And with every new chapter, you get a new layer of their personality to meet.

Read MoreI met the absolute sweetest and softest golden retriever pup, Nova, and her parents last weekend. Nova is as soft as she looks and was making me laugh this entire shoot. Her wise eyes would rest for a photo and in a flash, this baby girl was ready to play and give her mama all the kisses. If all my shoots had a puppy in them, I think I’d be juuuuuust fine with it.
